BYFL Under 12s
Bournemouth Electric (0) 0
Christchurch Youth (1) 2 Jordyn Johnston (2)
A mild day on a bumpy pitch and both sides struggled to get any rhythmn going, leading to a lot of misplaced passes, although Christchurch had more of the play. However after 10 minutes Robert Hall played a ball over the top to Jordyn Johnston who made no mistake from the edge of the area. There followed chances for Keam Ashton and Jordan Lee who hit their shots over the bar when well placed. Electric made only one chance with a shot across the keeper before Keam Ashton brought a good save from the Electric keeper at the end of the half. Half time 0 - 1.
The second half brought a lot more scrappy midfield play but then 11 minutes in a ball from Keam Ashton put in Jordyn Johnston to make it 2-0. Luke Horton made one good save from a free kick, but generally had a comfortable time. As Electric tired Christchurch made a number of chances with Elliott Hall and Josh Metcalf going close, and Elliott having a goal disallowed for offside. Full time 0-2.
A scrappy game but a hard fought and well deserved 3 points to celebrate Christmas.

21 September 2008 Kinson
BYFL Under 12s Greenfields FC (0) 3 Christchurch Youth FC (4) 7 Jordyn Johnston (4), Noah Vides, Own Goal (2) On a fine warm day Christchurch visited Greenfields at their Kinson ground. The home side applied some early pressure but Christchurch defended well and had an early shout for a penalty when Jordyn Johnston went down under pressure. After 10 minutes the first goal came when Josh Cull started a move down left to Jordyn Johnston who made no mistake with his left foot. A minute later Jordyn again went through to score a second with a right foot shot There was some more pressure from Greenfields but Christchurch stood up to it well and came back to force a corner. This was cleared but a great run down right led Jordan Lee to cross to Jordyn Johnston to complete a classic hat trick with a header. Some more good moves and chances flowed before Jordyn's cross from the left was diverted for an own goal. Half Time 0 – 4 The second half started evenly until Keam Ashton went through with a chance wide of the keeper but Jordyn Johnston chased the ball to lay it inside towards Jordan Lee but it was diverted into the net for another own goal. Noah Vides then took advantage of some confusion in the Greenfields defence to hit a good shot over the keeper from distance to score the sixth for Christchurch. Whether it was the heat/tiredness or overconfidence but Christchurch then started to become sloppy in defence and in their passing. Luke Horton saved well but at a corner from a later attack the defence failed to clear and Greenfields put the ball away in the melee. Another corner followed soon after the restart and Christchurch failed to pick the incoming player who scored with a first time shot. As Greenfields gained some confidence Christchurch eased some of the pressure when they played the ball out of defence to create an attack down the right and a superb ball from Keam Ashton put Jordyn Johnston in for his fourth goal. However, the sloppiness came again when a free kick was not cleared leading to a good shot from edge of area which finished the scoring giving some consolation to Greenfields. Final Score 3 - 7. Some good football in the first half, slightly spoilt in parts of the second, but nonetheless a good result. Sunday, September 14

Rossmore, Poole BYFL Under 12s Poole Town (0) 0 Christchurch Youth FC (4) 10 Christchurch applied early pressure on the Poole Town defence and created opportunities for a couple of shots. The pressure paid off when Elliott Hall’s strong shot was deflected past the keeper for the first goal on 7 minutes. Christchurch continued to dominate possession but failed to capitalize until Elliott Hall struck another good shot for his second goal. It was 25 minutes before Poole Town troubled keeper Luke Horton with a shot but Christchurch continued to come forward and James Young’s fine pass put in Jordyn Johnston to score, and Jordyn received Keam Ashton’s through ball to score his second. Half Time 0 – 4 Christchurch continued to apply pressure playing some good passing football as Jordyn Johnston put in Jordan Lee for the fifth. A Keam Ashton pass put James Young in to cross for Jordyn Johnston to score his third before Jordan Lee hit an unstoppable shot for the seventh goal. Keam Ashton then joined in the scoring , whilst Josh Metcalf rounded the keeper and needed a good shot to make the ninth. For their part Poole Town players stuck to their task and their keeper could not be faulted for his handling of the ball or any of the goals. At this stage of the game started to play their best football, but Christchurch were not to be denied and Luke Matthews completed the scoring with good shot. Full Time 0 – 10 Another good result and start to the season. Sunday, September 30

Christchurch v Hurn Jets
Christchurch made a typically slow start to the game and conceded a soft penalty when handball was given against one of the players in the box. Hurn Jets converted this chance and carried their advantage into the half time break, despite some enterprising play by Christchurch, they could not convert this into goals. The second half saw a more determined Christchurch side pressing forward looking for the equaliser and it came from the penalty spot after a Hurn Jet player made a rash tackle bringing down Luke Excel, the spot kick was converted by Rafael Santos - game on. With the defence rock solid the midfield and attackers started to impose themselves and their reward came when a screamer from the edge of the box by Luke Donoghue made it 2 -1 to Christchurch. A richly deserved third goal came from an individual piece of skill by Ben Torrens who beat several players before smashing the ball past the Hurn Jet keeper, 3 -1 to Christchurch. Goal Scorers: Rafael Santos 1, Luke Donoghue 1, Ben Torrens 1 Player of the Match - Stephen Duffy Sunday, September 16

U12 Branksome 3 Christchurch 1 Once again Christchurch made a slow start to a match and quickly found themselves two goals down to a well organised Branksome team, who were passing the ball well, but who were being allowed to do so by Christchurch. A few subtle changes to the formation and Christchurch were much more in the game Ellis Reeves just failing to score with his first touch of the ball having come on as substitute. The rest of the half saw chances for both sides but there was no further score. Half time 2-0 to Branksome. The second half saw a complete turnaround in the approach of team and it was all one way traffic with chance after chance going begging to Christchurch, but try as they did they could not score, with more than one player guilty of some glaring misses. With 15 minutes left Branksome broke down the left and scored a fine goal with an unstoppable shot high into the top left corner of the net. That was the last action from the home team as the next 15 minutes saw Christchurch lay siege to the Branksome goal and were rewarded with an excellently taken goal from Stephen Duffy, but despite one way action to the full time whistle Christchurch could not score again. Full time 3 -1. It was a disappointing end to a very spirited display especially in the second half, but shows what the team are capable of, they just need to do it from the first whistle. Christchurch U12's vs Longfleet U12's
Christchurch fell behind to an early goal from Longfleet after two minutes but fought their way back into the match and gained a deserved equaliser from Connor Freeborn before taking a slender lead after a Luke Donoghue goal made it 2-1. Further pressure saw Connor Freeborn extend Christchurch's lead to 3-1 before Longfleet once again scored close to half time, making it 3-2. The game remained open throughout the second half but Christchurch made their pressure tell first making it 4-2 (Stephen Duffy) and then 5-2 (Ellis Reeves) before Longfleet once again reduced the lead to 5-3. Ben Torrens scored once more for Christchurch, making it 6-3 to extend their lead again to three goals before late pressure saw Longfleet score a consolation goal making it 6-4 at the final whistle.
