The boys were unlucky at the start of the game, New Milton scored after a goal mouth scramble. They took the game to the other end and were unlucky to score. Jaidon made a couple of brilliant saves. Then with a good shot New Milton scored again. Again the boys kept their heads and with some first-rate passing took the ball to the other end, with Beau being unfortunate to send the ball just past the wrong side of the goal post. Luis had a good chance with it just going wide. New Milton scored again just before the end of the first half.

At the beginning of the second half, Charlie scored a lovely goal, after a good pass from Beau. Christchurch were given a free kick, taken by Mikey, with a high-quality strike, was unlucky to send it over the cross bar. Again Christchurch had the ball at New Milton’s goal mouth Charlie passed the ball in and Mikey tapped the ball in to bring the score to 3 – 2 to New Milton. New Milton came back to score another 4 goals to bring the final score to 7 – 2 to them. This however does not reflect the boy’s performance, they passed the ball well, worked as a team and could have had more goals from any of the players. Well done an enjoyable game to watch!

A special well done to Jack for getting Player of the Week you deserve it – you worked really hard in defence.

Match Result: Christchurch 0 v Everton 8

Jaidon, John, Beau, Jack, Mikey, Luis, Charlie, Cameron

The team played well today against tough opponents. With a couple of good chances in the first half from Mikey and Charlie, unfortunately they just could not find the back of the net. At the end of the first half the score was 6 – 0 to Everton. During the second half Christchurch kept trying to find the back of the goal, yet the ball just would not go in. At the other end Everton scored twice, making the final score 8 – 0 to them. Jaidon made some excellent saves throughout the game and was unlucky with some of the goals scored against us. At times there was goal mouth scrambling to keep the ball out. The team played a more controlled game in the second half. The score line did not reflect the match as Christchurch played well and kept playing until the final whistle. Well Done!

Match result: Bransgore 3 v Christchurch 4

Goal Scorers: Charlie (2), Luis, Mikey

From the kick off Christchurch took the game to Bransgore, pressurising the defence and holding their own in midfield. Jaidon made some excellent saves and the defence did very well in making Bransgore work hard to get through to goal. Charlie opened the score for Christchurch with a lovely touch, though Bransgore equalised soon after. The team worked well together passing the ball down the pitch to Luis who scored an excellent goal with his left foot, again Bransgore equalised just before half time.

The second half started slowly for the team but once they got into their stride Charlie scored a brilliant goal, again the defence stayed strong to keep out Bransgore, which enabled us to pull further ahead after a fantastic goal from Mikey, though the lead was reduced when a good shot from Bransgore made it 3 - 4. The team worked hard to keep the score the same until the final whistle, allowing the team register their second win in a row.

Match Result: Rossgarth 0 v Christchurch 1

Goal Scorer: Mikey

Christchurch had several good chances during the first half dominating the play and after a good build up involving the whole of the team Mikey scored. Following this brilliant start Luis had a good chance saved by the Rossgarth goalie, then play switched to the other end with Jaidon making a fine save.

During the second half the boys continued in the same form working well as a team with the defence making Rossgarth work hard to get through to the goal, enabling Jaidon to keep a clean sheet. Despite chances at the other end the closest we came to another goal was when Charlie hit the side netting.

Match Result: Christchurch 0 v Burton 5

The boys can hold their heads high, as we played the whole game with only six players and no substitutes, so well done to Jaidon, John, Beau, Mikey, Charlie and Jack. Despite this both sides had good chances to take the lead in the first half, with Christchurch actually hitting the post and the Burton goalie pulling off a tremendous save, though in the end Burton scored to make it 0 - 1 at half time.

During the second half the action was still end to end with both teams hitting the post and Christchurch even hitting the bar but with the extra players Burton started to get on top and they eventually scored a further four goals to make the final score 0 - 5. The score line does not reflect the true nature of the match or the effort that the players put in, they can all be proud of the way they played.
