This highly competitive game between two evenly matched sides was settled in the last minute of the match when Connor ran onto a through ball, disposessed the New Milton keeper (who had an excellent game) and walked the ball into an empty net. This was extremely unfortunate on a New Milton side who battled hard throughout without creating any clear cut chances. Christchurch played much better than when these two teams last met only a few weeks ago and in many ways deserved their win as they had created the majority of the chances, which they squandered, but battled hard to build another positive result, in a season of highs and lows.
A solid team performance across the pitch, which was made all the better as they had a number of their regular players unavailable this week.
